ATF offers reward in Cumming burglary, gun theft

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a burglary and firearms theft at a Cumming, Ga. pawn shop.

According to a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives press release, 66 guns were stolen during a burglary at Forsyth County Pawn in the early morning hours of Aug. 11.

“We take this crime very seriously,” said Special Agent in Charge Wayne Dixie.

“There are 66 firearms on the streets, with the strong potential of being sold to or used by other criminals. Firearms trafficking is a serious offense which results in significant federal prison time for the person or persons responsible.”
