Two men are in custody in connection with the suspicious death of a man whose body was found in Beech Island this month.
Christopher Shane Blitchington, 38, of Langley, was arrested Thursday.
Dylan Seth Raborn, 23, was located at the Ashley Motel, 4874 U.S. Highway 1 in Clearwater, after deputies obtained a warrant for his arrest Friday.
He was arrested Saturday after a vehicle pursuit from the hotel through Aiken, Richmond and Columbia counties.
Blitchington and Raborn are charged with accessory after the fact in the death investigation.
Raborn also has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime and fleeing or attempting to elude an officer.
Kristopher Buckland, 30, was arrested alongside Raborn on Saturday, but is not considered a suspect in the investigation, Capt. Eric Abdullah with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office said.
The Sheriff’s Office began investigating the suspicious death after a bicyclist discovered the victim’s body lying on a pile of brush in the 200 block of Avalon Lane on Aug. 4.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office identified Allen Andrew Jones, 26, of Columbia, S.C., as the deceased.
Coroner Tim Carlton said Jones is presumed to have died after 10 p.m. Aug. 3 from multiple gunshot wounds.
