Two Thomson men have been taken into custody following a Thursday morning shooting incident in Thomson.
At about 1:15 a.m. Thursday, the Thomson Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Knox Street. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist with the investigation at 2:30 a.m.
According to a GBI news release, Fornzcia Huff, 22, and Casey Williams, 20, were taken into custody and are being held at the McDuffie County Jail.
Huff was charged with one count of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Williams was charged with a count of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The incident is being treated as a domestic disturbance, and no injuries were reported following the shooting.
