Burke County Sheriff’s Office offers reward in three cases

The Burke County Sheriff’s Office announced a reward is available for information leading to arrests and convictions in three open cases.

According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, Burke County Sheriff Alfonzo Williams placed a reward of $12,500 on cases involving Simon Powell, Daniel Triplett and Amy Ellison.

Powell has been missing since Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Triplett was killed on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016. Ellison was killed on March 6, 2012 at her home on Brigham Landing Road.

“Although we can never bring back a loved one, it is our duty and responsibility to bring them closure and some type of peace of mind,” Williams said.
