Police need help naming Holden Street body

Officials need help identifying a man found dead on Holden Street on Sunday.

 

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, the unidentified man was found dead in a vacant lot in the 1200 block of Holden Street about 11 a.m. He had at least one gunshot wound.

Coroner Mark Bowen said the body has not been identified, but he hopes an autopsy, which is scheduled for Wednesday, will provide more answers. This is the fourth homicide in Richmond County this year. All are unsolved.

In the latest case, police found Juwan Doby, 21, dead from a gunshot wound in a vacant Fox Den apartment in the 200 block of Fox Trace Drive. Police identified Darrel Lee Jr. as a suspect, but an arrest has not been made.
