Lady A to headline annual Rock Fore! Dough concert

Lady Antebellum will headline the 13th annual Drive for Show, Rock Fore! Dough concert at Evans Towne Center Park during Masters Week.

The seven-time Grammy Award-winning group will be joined April 4 by country artist Kip Moore in addition to Augusta’s own Bethany & the Southside Boys, who will open the show. Lady Antebellum features two members from the Augusta area, 2000 Lakeside graduates Charles Kelley (lead vocals) and Dave Haywood (background vocals, guitar, piano and mandolin). Kelley and Haywood both graduated from the University of Georgia.

“I think this could be our biggest year ever,” First Tee of Augusta Executive Director Jill Brown said of the 2017 lineup. “I’m grateful to every artist who has played at Rock Fore! Dough and am thrilled to welcome these new musicians to the event this year.”

Added event producer Joe Stevenson: “We work hard to bring the best artists to Rock Fore! Dough year after year. Each year our goal is to make the event better than it was last year, from sponsors to vendors to concert-goers getting in the gate and enjoying the music, to keeping lines short and organized inside the park.”

Tickets to Drive for Show, Rock Fore! Dough go on sale at RockForeDough.com at 10 a.m. this Friday. The First Tee of Augusta and all area Kroger stores will begin selling tickets Feb. 24. Advance tickets cost $30 and day of show tickets will be sold for $40 online and at the gate.

Proceeds from Drive for Show, Rock Fore! Dough support The First Tee of Augusta. Over the past decade, the annual concerts have brought in more than $1.35 million for The First Tee of Augusta.

Since its inception in 1997, The First Tee Network has opened 200 learning facilities worldwide, established more than 335 affiliate relationships with existing golf courses and introduced over 2.3 million young people to the game of golf and its inherent positive values.
