Bridge Ministry gives hope to area homeless

The Bridge Ministry offers services every Saturday under the Calhoun Expressway Bridge on 15th Street behind the AU Annex. The ministry’s purpose is to feed, clothe, and preach the Gospel to the area’s indigent and homeless population. Led by Pastors Roger and Kimmi Gardner, the ministry served hundreds of Thanksgiving meals and gave away 1,800 winter coats Saturday afternoon.

“Love can change a person more than anything else,” Pastor Roger Gardner said. “Many people who come here will come here because they really do need a coat, or they do need a Thanksgiving meal but what they really need is the love of God. They need hope.”
