The free science, technology, engineering and math education program gives about 40 rising eighth- or ninth-grade girls the chance to learn more about science and math. They are encouraged to pursue careers in the fields and have self-confidence and positive attitudes about the subjects. Georgia Power, Plant Vogtle, Augusta Tech and Augusta University organized the event.
