An Augusta man is recovering after being shot in the head during a robbery Tuesday night.

Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Calvin Chew said Kentrell Dominique Wright, 23, was walking in the 1700 block of Douglas Street about 11:45 p.m. when he was approached by two men armed with handguns. The men took Wright’s money and cellphone and then fired a shot as Wright tried to run away.

Chew said the bullet hit Wright below the ear and exited near his upper lip.

Wright was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital. Police said the injury does not appear to be life-threatening.

Police are searching for two black men – one about 25 to 30years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a goatee, and the other 6 feet tall and about 190 pounds. Both men were wearing all black and possibly left the scene in a dark-colored Mitsubishi driven by another person.

Racist newspaper. Promote the dream.

Do not classify men/women by the color of their skin. But rather by the intent of their hearts. Their intent was to "redistribute wealth". The shooting was the fault of the guns in their possession.

Intent to commit criminal acts is making a lot of news. The "thought police" are at work and gaining prominence. Some steal $220K but had good intentions and are not punished. Some steal $10 but had evil intent and are imprisioned. Go figure????

The STATE has become God, knowing the intent of the heart. Amen. We can all be saved by obeying the STATE.

People have a right to walk along city streets at all hours of day and night, but it behooves us to exercise judgement as to whether we wish to avail ourselves of that right. There are some places where it's just better not to be outdoors at night.
