The University of South Carolina Aiken is ranked first among top public regional colleges in the South in the 2013 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s guide, America’s Best Colleges, the university announced Wednesday.
It is the ninth time USC Aiken has been ranked first in the category, and the fifth year in a row, the college said in a news release. Since U.S. News & World Report created the category 15 years ago, the university has been ranked in the top three public regional colleges every year, according to the release.
“Thanks to our dedicated faculty and staff, USC Aiken has been consistently providing a high quality educational experience for our students for many years,” said Dr. Sandra Jordan, chancellor. “We are honored to receive this recognition as USC Aiken continues to strive daily for excellence in education.”
