A Gloverville mother whose husband has been out of work dealing with prostate cancer would like some help this Christmas for her family and children.
“My husband has been out of work and this has left me to be the only one working,” she writes. “I am trying to take care of everything by myself, so I’m not going to be able to give my kids a Christmas. I’m hoping you can help me make my children happy on Christmas morning.”
The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people such as this for 81 years. Last year, the charity raised more than $115,000 that helped children and families across the region. Donations are tax-deductible. To contribute:
