Beauty supplies taken in Olive Road burglary

Beauty supplies and jewelry valued at $5,000 each and $200 worth of truck batteries were stolen from B&B Variety Shop in the 1600 block of Olive Road, according to a Richmond County sheriff's report.

A burglar entered between
2 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Monday by pushing in a window air-conditioner unit, an employee said.

Four glass display cases and a filing cabinet were damaged. The door of a shed on the corner of the property was also damaged, but the stereo and cash register inside it were not taken, the report states.
