Donations pay for tools for fire department

  • Follow News

The Silver Bluff Volunteer Fire Department will receive more than $24,000 worth of extrication tools through donations from Firehouse Subs in North Augusta.

The tools are used to help free victims trapped inside vehicles. North Augusta Firehouse Subs will award the donation during an Aug. 25 ceremony.

The company awarded funds from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.

Proceeds for the foundation are collected from re-selling recycled five-gallon pickle buckets for $2.
