Police search for man in weekend slaying
Authorities are searching for 18-year-old Curtis Carter in connection with a Saturday afternoon slaying.
Deputies were sent to the 1600 block of Luckey Street about 2:45 p.m. to investigate a shooting. The victim, Scotty Mathis, 40, of Stapleton, Ga., was sent to Medical College of Georgia where he died of a gunshot wound, according to Sgt. Blaise Dresser of the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
The investigation revealed Carter, of the 2000 block of First Avenue, as the shooter and an arrest warrant was issued on charges of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, a report states.
Anyone with information on Carter's whereabouts is urged to call the Richmond County Sheriff's Office at (706) 821-1000.
Teen's leg shot during fight at home in Aiken
A teenager was wounded during a fight Friday night in Aiken, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety.
Public safety Lt. David Turno said officers were called to a home in the 700 block of Sommers Avenue in Crosland Park, where a fight was reported about 10:35 p.m.
A man identified as "Juice" began shooting, Lt. Turno said. Stephon Carter, 17, of Aiken, was shot in the leg and was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital. A hospital spokeswoman said she had no information on Carter.

Curtis is an "early bloomer"
And with this punishment imposed on this young juvenile back in 2006, He learn the error of his ways in dealing with drugs. I am sure that drugs had nothing to do with the death of the man from Stapleton.
