Work will resume Monday on road improvements to the Deans Bridge Road-Gordon Highway intersection and the widening of Robinson Avenue in Grovetown, and will affect Richmond and Columbia county travelers through early June.
According to an update from the Georgia Department of Transportation, motorists are advised to be wary of heavy equipment and road workers and to follow posted speed limits.
The 1.8-mile widening of Robinson Avenue in the city of Grovetown goes from Wrightsboro Road to Gordon Highway. Two lanes will shrink to one at various times between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday through June 3. Sidewalks also will be affected.
In Richmond County, work around Deans Bridge Road at Gordon Highway will involve the intersection’s various right-turn lanes. Traffic interruption is set between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., the DOT said.
