Pardon Our Mess: Broken sidewalk

Repairs to the broken sidewalk are expected to be completed in about a month, officials say, the same time of the streetscape project.

WHERE: James Brown Boulevard at Jones Street

WHAT: Corner piece of sidewalk broken

WHO’S RESPONSIBLE: Augusta-Richmond County Engineering Department

ACTION PROMISED: Traffic management specialist Ron Lampkin said the city had to tear up the sidewalk to change out drains as part of the James Brown Boulevard streetscape project. Lampkin said work was halted last week for the Arts in the Heart of Augusta festival but that the sidewalk should be repaired in about a month, at the end of the streetscape project.
