An Augusta woman who has taken over care of her granddaughters is in need of some help this Christmas.
She has health concerns, but is asking for help to brighten their holiday.
“They’re good kids,” she writes, “but I have not been able to afford Christmas for them and it hurts me deeply. Please help.”
The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people such as this for 82 years.
Last year, the charity raised more than $104,000 that helped children and families across the region.
