Mother wants brighter Christmas for girl with brain tumor

An Augusta mother had to quit her job to take care of a young daughter with a brain tumor and would now like some help to make her Christmas brighter.

“She’s unable to go to school because we’re at the hospital all the time,” the mother writes. “Through the grace of God, she’s in remission. I’m asking for help because such might be the only thing my kids get for Christmas. Thank you.”

The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people such as this for 82 years. Last year, the charity raised more than $104,000 that helped children and families across the region.
