A 51-year-old disabled single mother in Lincolnton, Ga., would like some help to warm her home this holiday.
“I barely have enough to pay all my bills,” she writes. “I don’t have any extra money, that’s why I’m asking for a little help this year. I need some gas in my home for the winter.”
The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people such as this for 82 years. Last year, the charity raised more than $104,000 that helped children and families across the region.
