An Augusta mother whose infant son needs constant medical care and attention is asking for some help this Christmas.
“I am a single mom,” she writes. “I can’t look for a job because no one will keep my son because he has seizures. I am unable to get my children anything for Christmas. I am asking that you help me put a smile on their faces. It would make me smile to see them smile. I would appreciate your help.”
The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people such as this for 82 years. Last year, the charity raised more than $104,000 that helped children and families across the region.
