LEE ANDERSON, you keep refusing to participate in debates and public forums. How can you expect residents to vote for someone who won’t appear in public? What are you afraid of?
IN A WORLD TODAY where so many of our youths are lost and can’t find their way, it is wonderful that the group called The Big Group is giving our youths a hope that will last forever, and that is Jesus.
WHY NOT COMBINE Halloween and Election Day? Oh wait, would that be a conundrum or an anomaly or something like that? Yeah.
RANT FOR EVANS HIGH SCHOOL football coaches. It’s not fair that your boys put in three-hour practices and never hit the football field. These boys get pumped up every week, give their best in practice and just sit on the sidelines like they are watching a tennis match. It’s not fair!
I AM GLAD TO SEE the Cherry Tree Crossing barracks-style public housing complex is going to be demolished. People need, and deserve, to live a clean and safe environment, which the new complex will provide. Incidentally, now is the time to weed out the “bad apples.”
I WOULD HOPE LEADERS such as the Rev. Joseph Lowery would be promoting racial harmony and not inciting people to believe that the Republican Party is a party of racism. Now is the time to bring all people together to address the many issues facing us.
WE HAVE A PROBLEM with speeding dirt bikes and four-wheelers in the back of Belglade and Crawford Mill subdivisions in Columbia County. I know that complaints have been made about this. I have seen deputies come out on a couple of occasions, talking to the person who has been absolutely flying on a four-wheeler, sometimes with his toddler riding alongside on another. Obviously the gentleman is not getting the message.

WHAT DOES A medical school have to do with a local liberal arts college? Is the renaming of the merged colleges really just a way to start another fight, thus taking the public’s eyes off of the bigger scam of the merger itself?
