Weather-related cancellations, postponements



Richmond, Columbia, Edgefield and Burke County schools closed Thursday.

Aiken County, McDuffie County schools on a two-hour delay.

Georgia Regents University will be open Thursday. 

Paine College is closed Thursday, January 30, 2014. 

USC Aiken will reopen at 10:50 a.m. on Thursday. Students are encouraged to check the USC Aiken homepage for updates.

Cancellations, postponements:
Westminster Schools of Augusta will have a delayed start on Thursday and will begin at 10 a.m. After School Care at the Lower School will still be available during normal hours.

Augusta Mall will close at 6 pm on Jan. 29 and resume normal business hours on Thursday. The following anchor stores will close early:
Sears – 3 pm
JC Penney – 3 pm
Macy’s – 6 pm

The American Legion’s System Worth Saving (SWS) Task Force representatives holding a town hall meeting for local veterans to discuss the quality of their health care at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center at Post 205 has been canceled.

Zac Brown Band with special guests planned for Friday in Augusta has been rescheduled for March 21.

Serenity Behavioral Health Systems will open Thursday with a 2 hour delay.

Edgar's Grille will operate on a regular schedule Thursday. All Goodwill operations will reopen at NOON on Thursday. All Helms College day classes are cancelled Thursday, with all evening classes Thursday continuing as scheduled.

Shepeard Community Blood Centers reopened on Wednesday, January 29th at noon and resumed regular operating hours.

The First Tee of Augusta will close Wednesday January 29th. The 4th Season Pre-Registration will continue until Friday.

The CSRA Swimming Championships were postponed. The championships, which feature the top prep swim teams in the area, will be moved to Thursday at 5:30 p.m., at the Augusta Aquatics Center.
