Alison Krauss & Union Station cancels May 18 show in Augusta

Alison Krauss & Union Station has canceled its May 18 concert at James Brown Arena with Willie Nelson.

Krauss pushed back the start date of her tour by one week to May 8 so she can undergo a “minor medical procedure,” according to Rounder Records spokeswoman Regina Joskow. Two shows were canceled – including Augusta – and five shows were rescheduled.

“She just has to rest up a few days. She will be back on the stage May 8,” Joskow said. “She feels terrible about it.”

Willie Nelson will not come to Augusta for the tour date.

Refunds for tickets to the James Brown Arena show will be available beginning Friday. Refunds will only be made in the same payment method originally used to purchase the tickets.

For tickets purchased at the James Brown Arena box office, the purchaser must be present with the credit card used for the transaction and a valid ID.

Customers who purchased tickets through or via phone at (877)-4AUGTIX will receive a refund to their credit card within five to 10 business days.
