Thurmond Lake water data now on smartphone app

Thurmond Lake water levels and rainfall predictions can now be more easily accessed.

The Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District has released a smartphone application that puts the same data from its popular water management Web site in the palm of your hand. The free app is available for download from iTunes, Google Play and the Amazon app store.

“Users will find that once they launch this app, the information they want isn’t more than two clicks away,” said Russell Wicke, spokesman for the Savannah District in a news release. “It’s now fast, easy and convenient to access lake conditions from a fishing boat, restaurant or camp site.”

Current reservoir levels, outflow rates, rainfall data, projection charts, forecasts and other water data is featured on the app. Information is available for Thurmond, Hartwell and Russell lakes and Savannah River conditions downstream from the reservoirs.

To download the app, search “USACE Savannah” in the app store.
