GOP plans Augusta debate



The Georgia Republican party will hold a U.S. Senate candidate debate April 19 in Augusta.

It’s the sixth time the debate has returned to Augusta. Candidates trying to fill the seat of retiring Sen. Saxby Chambliss will participate in the debate, which will be monitored by radio talk show host Martha Zoller.

The event will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Columbia County Exhibition Center, 212 Partnership Drive in Grovetown.
