The Waynesboro Police Department will continue its search Friday for Arletha Diane Bennett, a 77-year-old Alzheimer’s patient missing since last week.

The search will begin at 10 a.m. at Burkeland Gardens on Ninth Street across from Southern Bank. Volunteers are being sought.

Bennett was last seen near Herman Lodge Boulevard about 9 p.m. Jan. 16, according to police. She is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She was wearing navy blue pajamas with white polka dots. Police said she also has a medical shoe on her right foot and a slipper on the other foot.

Anyone who sees Bennett can call the Waynesboro Police Department at (706) 554-4999.

Police have asked that searchers meet at the designated location and not search on their own.
