North Augusta man killed following argument with friend



A 31-year-old North Augusta man was shot and killed at his residence Wednesday.

Christopher Rowley, of the 700 block of Sudlow Lake Road, died shortly after arriving at Georgia Regents Medical Center at 3:07 p.m., according to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton.

Rowley was shot after an argument with his friend Robin N. Herndon, an employee of South Carolina Probation and Parole, Carlton said.

Deputies responded to the shooting at 2:16 p.m.

Herndon is in custody, charged in the death, authorities said.

An autopsy is scheduled today in Newberry, S.C., Carlton said.
