Historian to speak Monday at library

Friends of the Augusta Library will hold its annual meeting and membership drive at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Augusta-Richmond County Public Library, 823 Telfair St.

Historian Brad Cunningham will discuss the transition of the private residence of Judge Benjamin Holmes, built in 1830, to the present-day Appleby Branch Library.

The event is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
