Traffic engineers have scheduled two closures this week, while state crews will suspend current projects.
The ramp leading from Broad Street to northbound Gordon Highway toward South Carolina and the northbound outside lane on Gordon Highway from Greene Street to Broad Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday while crews repair a guardrail.
On Friday, the westbound lanes of the 300 block of Greene Street between Third and Fourth streets will be closed from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. during the Augusta Family Bicycle Safety event.
However, the Department of Transportation will suspend lane closures on interstates and major routes for the July Fourth travel period.
Construction suspension began June 30 and will continue through 5 a.m. Monday.
