Boardman honored for historic preservation work

Augusta's Clay Boardman has been elected to an inaugural group of emeritus trustees of The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for his service to the statewide organization.

In a news release, The Georgia Trust said each of 22 emeritus trustees was an active business and community leader who worked hard on behalf of historic preservation.

Boardman, known in Augusta for restoration projects such as Enterprise Mill and William Robinson School, served on The Georgia Trust's board of trustees from 2002-10 and the Trust's executive committee from 2004-10.
