Augusta airport to conduct emergency drill Wednesday

The Augusta Regional Airport will conduct a live emergency drill Wednesday morning.

According to a news release, emergency response agencies from across the area will conduct the drill as if there were an actual aircraft incident or emergency.

The airport will run as normal without disruption of flights during the drill.

The drill is expected to be completed by 1 p.m.

The Federal Aviation Authority requires airports to conduct drills every three years.
