Free computer classes are offered at First Baptist Church of Augusta through the Computers @ First ministry. Upcoming classes include:
• File Function, a course on how to save, organize and locate documents and pictures, from 2 to 4 p.m. March 13
• Introduction to Excel, on the basics of spreadsheets, working with formulas and formatting for presentation, from 2 to 4 p.m. on March 20 and 27.
• Pics in the Camera, What Next?, a course that returns by popular demand on how to transfer, edit and organize digital photos, from 2 to 4 p.m. March 22 and 29.
• Greeting Cards, Business Cards and Labels, on using Hallmark Card Studio to create personalized greeting cards on the computer, from 2 to 4 p.m. April 26 and May 3.
The church hosts all classes in a new computer lab inside the Walton Education Building at First Baptist of Augusta, 3550 Walton Way Extension. The lab features 12 work stations, speedier internet connections and more room to move around. The computers were recently donated by the Computers for Learning program at Fort Gordon.
