Thomson mother trying to care for three children

A single mother from Thomson is trying to care for three children, including one with severe health problems.

“She has lost some memory and mobilization,” the mother writes. “And her sickness affects my job efforts. I have been looking for a job for the past three months.

“Just providing Christmas gifts for my kids this year seems unreal. They are so looking forward to it, and their little eyes light up when you mention Christmas. It will be a blessing to receive some help from the Empty Stocking Fund and my kids will be so happy.”

The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people such as this for 81 years. Last year, the charity raised more than $115,000 that helped children and families across the region.
