John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School was ranked third in the state and 81st in the country in U.S. News and World Report’s 2013 Best High Schools Rankings.
U.S. News analyzed more than 21,000 high schools across the country to formulate the rankings. The organization evaluated schools based on reading and math proficiency results, the performance of low-income and minority students compared to statistical expectations, and college readiness through Advanced Placement or International Bachelorette data.
A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet School also placed high among the best schools in Georgia. It ranked 12th in the state but did not make the top 100 national list.
