A man who denied his HIV status to a sexual partner pleaded guilty Monday to reckless conduct by an HIV-infected person.
Jason A. Young, 33, already had been charged and convicted of the same crime in Aiken County. He served two years in prison in South Carolina.
Because Young had the two sexual partners during the same time period in 2011 and already has served time in prison, Assistant District Attorney Garon Muller agreed to recommend probation, he told Judge James G. Blanchard Jr.
Blanchard sentenced Young to five years’ probation, with a special condition that he undergo testing and treatment every six months.
