Man robbed at gunpoint at Augusta apartment complex

Police are investigating an armed robbery which took place Thursday afternoon at an area apartment complex.

About 1:41 p.m., deputies responded to Regency Village at 2810 Thomas Lane, where a male victim said he was robbed of $190 at gunpoint, according to an incident report from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

The man told deputies he was urinating next to his car when the suspect approached with a .40 handgun and demanded money, the report stated.

The victim described the suspect as a black male, 5-foot-10, 160 pounds and was last seen running through the apartment complex.
