3 juveniles arrested in slaying of 89-year-old Allendale man

Three teenagers have been arrested in connection to the death of an 89-year-old Allendale man.

On June 19, deputies discovered the body of Willie Johnson inside a home in the 300 block of Pickrum Street.

On Tuesday, two 16-year-olds and one 15-year-old were arrested and charged with murder, according to a statement from Thom Berry of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

The teenagers – whose names have not been released – are currently in custody of the S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice, according to Berry.

SLED investigated the case at the request of the Allendale Police Department.
