Another suspect in fatal shooting turns self in



Another suspect in Thursday’s fatal shooting in a Kroger parking lot has turned himself in, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Napoleon J. Moss Jr., 19, of Augusta, turned himself in at the sheriff’s office at 400 Walton Way Monday afternoon, according to a police statement. He is charged with misdemeanor affray.

Montravious Deshawn McNair, of Covington, Ga., was fatally shot Thursday night outside the store at 3128 Deans Bridge Road.

Dequan Blake, 18, was charged Fri­day with felony murder and misdemeanor affray for his role in the shooting, the sheriff’s office said.

Also charged with misdemeanor affray were Elevonte J. Cooper, 19; Cordarius C. Ayers, 19; Daushun J. Ellis, 19; Jaques R. Woodard, 19, and Tydavius Z. Bradley, 19.

Aquil Jazuez Ferrell, 18, who turned himself in at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center Saturday, has also been charged with misdemeanor affray, according to Richmond County jail records.

Karl M. Kelly, 18, who was shot in the hand during the altercation, will be charged with misdemeanor affray after his release from Georgia Regents Medical Center.

Sheriff’s Investigator Glen Rahn said Monday that the department is not actively looking for any additional suspects.
