Another suspect arrested in Kroger lot slaying

Police have arrested another man in Thursday’s fatal shooting in a Kroger parking lot. One more suspect is being sought.


Aquil Jazuez Ferrell, 18, has been charged with misdemeanor affray, according to Richmond County jail records.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is still seeking Napoleon J. Moss Jr., 19, of Augusta, on a charge of misdemeanor affray, Sgt. Monica Belser said Saturday.

Montravious Deshawn McNair, of Covington, Ga., was fatally shot Thursday night outside the store at 3128 Deans Bridge Road.

Dequan Blake, 18, was charged Fri­day with felony murder and misdemeanor affray, the sheriff’s office said.

Also charged with misdemeanor affray were Elevonte J. Cooper, 19; Cordarius C. Ayers, 19; Daushun J. Ellis, 19; Jaques R. Woodard, 19, and Tydavius Z. Bradley, 19.

Karl M. Kelly, 18, who was shot in the hand during the altercation, will be charged with misdemeanor affray after his release from Georgia Regents Medical Center.
