Augusta man accused of manslaughter, armed robbery indicted

An Augusta man has been indicted on charges of involuntary manslaughter and armed robbery.

A Richmond County grand jury returned the indictments Tuesday against Dominique S. Sullivan, 20. He is accused of fatally shooting his friend Delarrion T. Smith, 18, on Nov. 11 while playing with a gun. Sullivan is also accused of holding up Steven K. Moore at gunpoint Aug. 27, taking his wallet and cellphone.

Sullivan is being held without bond. He is expected to be arraigned this month.

Foundation stopped giving to ‘alt-right’ movement leader in 2015

The Augusta-based Community Foundation for the Central Savannah River Area severed ties with an organization tied to a white nationalist in 2015 after discovering the group’s “mission and purpose,” the nonprofit’s President and CEO Shell K. Berry said in a statement.
