Richmond County sheriff's deputies are searching for a 24-year-old woman suspected of stabbing her live-in boyfriend in the chest, arm and back Saturday.
Police say Elizabeth A. Staten is wanted on a charge of battery after Robert McBride was stabbed about 6:30 a.m. during an altercation in the 2700 block of Gardenbrook Court. Staten also has four felony arrest warrants related to financial transaction card fraud, deputies said.
She was described as a black woman about 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 225 pounds. She left the scene before police arrived.
McBride was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center where he was in serious condition, according to the sheriff's office.
