Deputies seek man who broke into car at Augusta Mall

Police say this man entered a vehicle in the parking lot of the Augusta Mall on Dec. 5 before fleeing the scene.


Deputies are seeking a man who broke into a vehicle in the Augusta Mall parking lot on Dec. 5.

The incident happened about 6 p.m., and the suspect, described as a black man with dreadlocks and a beard, was last seen running from the parking lot toward J.C. Penney, where he was captured on surveillance video, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

The man was last seen wearing a beige coat and dark colored pants.
