Mike Padgett home fired on; no one hurt

Police say shots were fired into an Augusta home occupied by two adults and six minors Saturday morning.

About 5 a.m., Richmond County sheriff’s deputies were called to the home in the 3800 block of Mike Padgett Highway, where victims said someone fired four shots at their house and one shot into a 2009 Lincoln Town Car, according to an incident report. No one was injured.

Deputies found four holes on the west side of the home, where two boys – a 1-year-old and 9-year-old – were sleeping. A fifth hole was found near the Lincoln’s rear window.
