Man says prostitute stole his truck

An Augusta man says a prostitute he was staying with stole his pickup overnight.

The man, who was at Com­fort Inn at 1455 Walton Way, said the woman stole his 1997 Ford F-150 between 11 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday, according to a Richmond County sheriff’s report.

Police say the man called the woman at 9:21 a.m. and asked her to return the truck. When she didn’t return, the man called police.

The woman, whose name is unknown, is described as a 5 foot, 5 inch white female with brown shoulder-length hair.
