A suspect in two homicides was convicted of unrelated robbery and burglary charges Wednesday and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Andre Jackson, 32, stood trial this week in Richmond County Superior Court. Charges of murder are still pending.
The armed robbery and burglary occurred June 28, 2010, the same day sheriff investigators believe L.V. Wilson III, 38, was killed at his home at 1926 Haynie Dr.
Jackson is also accused of killing Jquanda Johnson, 27, whose body was found inside her 825 Spruce St. apartment on July 2, 2010. Investigators believe she was killed because she witnessed Wilson’s slaying.
Jackson had prior convictions for drugs and theft. Prosecutors — Assistant District Attorneys Hank Syms and Natalie Paine — filed a recidivist notice that requires a maximum prison term without the possiblity of parole.
