Man wanted in girlfriend's shooting returned to Augusta

A suspect in a Wednesday shooting has been returned to Augusta after being caught by the Georgia State Patrol in Villa Rica, Ga.

James Clifton Tate Jr., 31, has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in the shooting of his girlfriend.

Police found Bertha Lopez, 34, with a gunshot wound at a Pinnacle Place Apartments unit.
