An Augusta man suspected of multiple vehicle break-ins in Aiken County has been linked to a case of stolen fishing poles from a downtown Augusta store.
Brian Scott Lowry, 52, of Deans Bridge Road, is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center on an outstanding Richmond County warrant after Aiken County deputies identified him as a suspect in multiple vehicle break-ins.
North Augusta officers said Lowry broke into several vehicles off Shoreline Drive Monday night before he entered an unsecured Shoreline Drive residence, stole a set of car keys and drove off in a vehicle parked at the home.
Aiken County deputies found him Wednesday mornng while investigating more automobile break-ins in the Woodridge Subdivision in Clearwater.
Wednesday afternoon Richmond County investigators identified him as a suspect in a Tuesday morning burglary at Broadway Bait and Tackle on the 1700 block of Broad Street. According to a surveillance video, a man entered the store, hiding his face with a life jacket, and made off with several fishing poles.
