A 22-year-old woman is facing charges after she stabbed one woman and beat another in front of a small child, police said.
According to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the women’s vehicle was stopped in the 200 block of Walker Street about 10:40 p.m. Wednesday to let out a passenger when Ieesha Nicole Faulks approached.
Police said Faulks, who is a former roommate of one of the women, opened the passenger-side door and punched Monisha Jackson, 22, in the face.
The driver, Sherika Burgess, 23, tried to help but was pushed to the ground, kicked in the face and stabbed under the arm.
Police said Faulks, who is homeless, punctured both passenger tires before leaving the area.
Jackson’s 2-year-old child was in the vehicle but was not harmed.
Faulks was booked into the Richmond County jail Monday on charges of aggravated assault, criminal trespass and cruelty to children in the third degree.
