A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection to burglaries at six Aiken businesses early Sunday.
About 5 a.m., Aiken Public Safety officers were called to Little China restaurant on York Street, where they found a broken front window. Windows also were broken at Nail Art Salon and Approved Cash Payday Loans.
While investigating a broken window at Breakers convenience store on University Parkway, officers found Quinton Taylor, of Aiken, standing behind the counter, and took him into custody, according to a news release.
Officers later discovered broken windows at The Lemonade Stand on University Parkway and Automotive Service & Machine Shop on York Street, and a back door forced open at Steven’s Monuments on York Street.
Police said money and surveillance equipment were taken from each of the businesses. Officers recovered the stolen property.
Taylor was charged with six counts of second-degree burglary.
