2 suspects in Aiken meth case jailed

Two suspects wanted in an Aiken methamphetamine lab case are being held in the Richmond County jail.

Christopher Lewis, 29, and Lisa Williamson, 30, were booked into the jail Tuesday.

Aiken police arrested Lewis shortly after they discovered the lab set up in a room at the Econo Lodge on Richland Avenue. Lewis later posted bail and fled the area.

As the investigation continued, Williamson was identified as a suspect and Lewis’ charges were upgraded to include possession of a pistol by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen pistol and possession of prescription drugs.

The also face charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine within half-mile of a school.
